Oliver Loomes Managing Director, Diageo Ireland
Oliver Loomes is Country Director and Chairman of Diageo Ireland since 2015, overseeing sales of > €0.5Bn across the Island of Ireland.
He is also Chairperson of Alcohol Beverage Federation Ireland (ABFI), representing an industry exporting >€1.5Bn, and sits on the National Council of IBEC.
Oliver has been with Diageo since 1999, progressing through the ranks to Marketing & Innovation Director in 2009 for the Guinness 250th Anniversary celebrations, including the creation of Arthurs Day, which became an annual programme across the globe.
He ran the Guinness brand globally from 2011-2014, creating the ‘Made of More’ global positioning, followed by heading up Diageo’s Europe beer business where he created the Open Gate Brewery and then HopHouse 13 lager. Further innovation followed in his current role with the successful launch of Rockshore.
A native of Dublin, Oliver holds a B Comm and MBS from UCD. He started his career with Mars in 1992, working across Ireland, GB and Europe, before joining Diageo in 1999.
He lives in Dublin with his wife and three children.
