In a statement, the Chairman of the Port of Cork Company, Michael Walsh said, “We welcome Ann Doherty as Chief Executive Officer of the Port of Cork. Ann has been instrumental in bringing significant capital investment to the organisations she has led.

In addition to her executive experience, Ann is the Chairperson of the Board of Mercy University Hospital, is a member of the Board of Directors of University College Cork Student Facilities & Services and has held multiple board positions over the past ten years.

In her academic pursuits, she holds an MBA from London South Bank University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies, and diplomas in Nursing and Healthcare Leadership, alongside a Chartered Director qualification from the Institute of Directors.
