Mountrath social entrepreneur, Rosemary Kunene, founder of Dignity Partnership, was recently announced as one of five awardees to be included in Social Entrepreneurs Ireland 2024 Impact Programme, which is part of its €500,000 investment into developing social entrepreneurship.
Rosemary was recognised for her significant dedication and innovation in addressing one of Ireland’s major societal challenges – the successful integration of new communities to Ireland. Dignity Partnership have developed value-based non-formal education programmes for both the new communities and host communities that help people acquire and maintain essential skills that contribute to their personal and professional development.
The goal is to promote inclusion and integration through shared learning & experience and encouraging organisations within Ireland to explore, develop and promote inclusive practices for the benefit of all.
Rosemary joined the Social Entrepreneurs Ireland Ideas Academy for early-stage social entrepreneurs in 2019. She was awarded €9,000 to pilot her initiative. As one of the five awardees recently announced on its Impact Programme, Rosemary will gain access to support from Social Entrepreneurs Ireland’s community of business leaders and sector experts who will offer mentorship, capacity building, and strategic guidance to help their organisations thrive. Each awardee also receives €20,000 in unrestricted funding to support them on their journey of expanding their business.
