As part of its expansion plans Azure Communications, which celebrates 10 years as one of Ireland’s leading print and digital communication agencies, has appointed Jenny Johnston as new CEO. In the new phase of expansion in 2024, the company will launch a new digital communications and marketing arm – investing up to €1M over the next three years in this new service offering.

Jenny, formerly of JYSK and Kilkenny Design, brings with her a wealth of experience and a proven track record in Irish and international retail and marketing.

On her appointment, Jenny said: “I am excited to take on this new role with Azure Communications and contribute to the growth of this dynamic Irish business. We are a leader in print and digital communications in Ireland, and over the coming months, we look forward to bringing this expertise to a wider audience.

From my experience working in retail marketing, in order to succeed, brands big and small must take a holistic approach to the buyers’ journey by integrating social commerce strategies, bringing in the use of new technology such as AI-driven personalisation online, optimising mobile shopping practices, and creating experiences and content to engage and attract customers instore. In 2023, there were approximately 1.17 million people employed by SMEs in Ireland, so we understand the strength of this sector, its impact, and the contributions that these small businesses make to our economy. Over the coming months at Azure, we will offer our clients new and exciting ways to do this to engage their customers.”

David Broderick, Director, Small Firms Association added: “I would like to congratulate Jenny Johnston on her appointment as CEO as Azure Communications embarks on its next phase of development and expansion.  The exciting times ahead for the company are testament to the innovation, hard work and dedication of its team over the past decade.”
