“EY Galway is proud to celebrate International Women’s Day and to once again host a dynamic and engaging event, this year focusing on the importance of inspiring inclusivity in sports,” said Muireann McGarry, EY Ireland Tax Partner. “At EY, we are committed to celebrating diversity, promoting inclusion and equality. Today’s event underscores EY’s commitment to encouraging diversity and inclusivity, not just on International Women’s Day, but every day.”

This is EY’s fifth year of hosting an International Women’s Day event in Galway, with the focus this year on the importance of inspiring inclusivity in sports.

Laura Fox, RTÉ presenter, was interviewed by Leann McDonagh, EY Executive Director, on her career to date before Laura hosted a panel discussion with speakers Sarah Quinn, Irish International Athlete and EY Tax Associate, Sarah Hawkshaw, Olympian and Irish International Hockey player and Mary Healy, Irish Women’s Rugby, Barbarians FC and Connacht Rugby. The panel discussed the unique challenges and triumphs women encounter in the sports industry, along with the strategies that have led them to success.
