Staying #AStepAhead Network Ireland Celebrating International Women's Day

Network Ireland is urging women to advance their careers by prioritising their wellbeing this International Women’s Day. Their national event, which takes place at Lyrath Estate in Kilkenny next month, will feature contributions from female leaders in business, media and psychology to help women plot a course to careers that are both successful and sustainable.
Among the speakers on the day is best-selling author of The Burnout Solution, Siobhán Murray, whose practical strategies are designed to help overcome burnout and thrive in today’s fast-paced world. Sports psychologist Dr Ciara Losty will draw on her experience working with Olympians to offer tips on dealing with setbacks as well as mental conditioning for peak performance.
In the keynote session, Oscar-nominated director Nora Twomey will trace her route from factory production line to working alongside Angelina Jolie in the Hollywood dream factory as co-founder of acclaimed animation studio, Cartoon Saloon. Áine Ní Chaoildealbhain, MD Virgin Media and Anne Marie Tierney-Le Roux, Senior Vice President Enterprise Technology at IDA Ireland will also participate in discussions throughout the day.
Network Ireland President, Linda Codoul chose ‘A Step Ahead’ as the theme for her presidency and says her programme for IWD will help women to progress: “Whether it’s juggling care demands or dealing with imposter syndrome, women sometimes need a little extra support in their careers. This International Women’s Day we, along with our inspirational speakers, are aiming to offer women a toolkit they can use in their daily lives to make sure that career success doesn’t come at the expense of wellbeing.
By building resilience, we hope to help women excel in their chosen walk of life.”
