Last week, Adrienne Gormley announced the news that she is the new COO of London-based startup Sylvera. The company, co-founded by Allister Furey and Sam Gill in 2020, is a carbon data provider which last year raised €51M in Series B Funding bringing total funding of the venture to a staggering c.€100M. Adrienne was previously CEO of Setforth which was sold to everfield five months ago. She is an Independent Board Director of Monta, Epidemic Sound, and Non-Executive Director of Pleo.

On her most recent appointment, Adrienne said: “I am thrilled to announce that I have joined the incredible team at Sylvera! As a pioneering company, Sylvera is a trusted partner of corporations and governments, making it easy for them to engage with the carbon markets as part of their net zero journeys.

I’m honoured and humbled to be a part of this journey and contribute my skills to have a meaningful impact.”

Adrienne has enjoyed a stellar career in scaling software SaaS companies, including Google, Dropbox, and N26. Her career “has equipped me well for this next move,” she admitted.

“Adrienne’s background in both operations and delivery of core commercial and strategic initiatives, scaling some of the biggest companies in tech, will help drive Sylvera’s continued expansion,” acknowledged CEO Allister Furey.

Adrienne will no doubt bring the necessary passion and energy to her new role and added: “I’m excited to partner with many of the world’s largest companies, financial institutions, and governments to drive much more investment toward the projects, companies, and countries having maximum climate impact and get the world on track for net zero!”
