Ambitious Female Entrepreneurs Going for Growth
14th June 2023
The 15th cycle of Going for Growth, the award-winning programme for ambitious female entrepreneurs determined to grow their businesses, came to a close at a special celebration in Dublin yesterday (Tuesday, June 13th).
The Going for Growth programme is designed to support female entrepreneurs to achieve their growth ambitions, by growing their sales, creating additional employment and winning new exports. Going for Growth is sponsored by Enterprise Ireland and KPMG.
A total of 48 female entrepreneurs completed the six-month Going for Growth programme this year. An additional 21 female entrepreneurs competed the Starting Strong programme, which is for more recently established, ambitious businesses. They will be celebrated at a separate ceremony next week.
At the beginning of the cycle, the Going for Growth participants had a turnover in excess of €70m, employed over 800 people and almost half of them were exporters. All set ambitious targets and built on these impressive numbers over the last six months.
Thanks to the continued support of Enterprise Ireland and KPMG, Going for Growth is free for participants who are supported on their growth journey by voluntary Lead Entrepreneurs, who are all successful female entrepreneurs.
This year’s Lead Entrepreneurs for Going for Growth were: Anne Cusack, Jeananne O’Brien, Louise Phelan, Monica Flood, Oonagh O’Hagan and Tara Beattie.
