Professional photographer Jenny McCarthy has expanded her business and designed her own range of wedding and baby products.
The well-known photographer created her own wedding candle in March 2020 but now has officially launched a wider range of products for sale under her new business name – By Jenny McCarthy.
Jenny has a team of four working on her product and photography business and plans to increase this as her range of products expands. She has plans to launch three new baby products this summer as well as publish a Wedding Book and will launch her brand internationally within the next 12 months.
She has photographed some of the most high-profile weddings in the country (including quite a few GAA footballers) Suzanne Jackson, Glenda Gilson, Karen Koster, Seamus Coleman, Robbie Brady, Pippa O’Connor, Brian Dowling & Arthur Gourounlian and many more.
“The reason I have moved into creating products in the wedding and children’s space is because of the deep knowledge I have gained working over the past 20 years working on wedding and baby portraits; seeing what people want and what the industry is missing,” said Jenny.
The wedding expert launched The Wedding Candle two years ago as she dipped her toe into a new line of business but now has a range of items available on her online shop byjennymccarthy.ie including Wedding Candle Favours and The Wedding Umbrella.
Jenny, who is also a baby photographer, has also launched a range of baby products including Zipzee Gro’, a baby grow made from organic cotton that makes it easier for parents to change nappies, and The Baby Bag, a luxury leather-look bag.
“Over the years, I noticed that there are various products that would be really useful to clients. The Zipzee Gro’ has two separate zips; one for taking the baby out and one solely for changing a nappy. Parents tell me it is really useful when they are having their baby vaccinated too,” she said.
“I have photographed thousands of new babies in my studio and have always noticed the jam-packed baby bags overflowing with bits and pieces. For a long time, I wanted to release a bag that is both practical and stylish. The Baby Bag by Jenny McCarthy was born. This bag can also be used as a travel bag/rucksack and has been bought by make-up artists and hair stylists; students for college; and ladies and gents who like to travel light,” she said.
Jenny has also just launched a new wedding podcast sponsored by Clarins, called Wedding Tip Wednesday, which started in December featuring wedding hints and tips as well as interviews with a range of industry experts.
Jenny says she was inspired to create her business from recognising the needs of bridal couples and parents she worked with down through the years.
