TestReach, which provides an innovative online assessment solution for the creation, delivery, management and analysis of high-stake examinations, recently announced a new partnership with the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC). Through this partnership TestReach will support the delivery of the PHECC’s computer-based examinations.

The PHECC is responsible for implementing, monitoring and developing the standards for education and provision of care by all statutory, private and voluntary ambulance services in Ireland.

The PHECC publishes clinical practice guidelines for pre-hospital emergency care training as well as education. The Council also manages the National Qualification in Emergency Medical Technology (NQEMT) examination process for developing course content, authoring examination questions, training of examiners, invigilation, as well as clinical oversight of examinations, issuing examination results, and ultimately, awarding the NQEMT at EMT, Paramedic and Advanced Paramedic Level.

TestReach, an award-winning technology company, was co-founded by Louella Morton and Sheena Bailey in 2014 and is headquartered at NexusUCD, in Dublin, Ireland. The company is used by leading medical organisations and awarding bodies worldwide, and has an established record of ensuring a positive candidate exam experience in addition to high-quality services and support, especially in the area of remote invigilation.

Alison Bell, Head of Growth, TestReach, said, “TestReach is delighted to partner with PHECC to provide the innovative solutions required to support PHECC’s ambitious strategy for exceptional exam delivery. The Council has a crucial objective of confirming that any emergency care is provided by skilled and trained professionals, and we feel absolutely privileged to provide our innovative technology assessment solution for the delivery and support of the Council’s computer-based examinations.”

Brendan Cawley, Programme Manager, PHECC, said, “The Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council welcomes the opportunity to work with TestReach, who use new and innovative ways of assessing a candidates’ clinical knowledge and skills, while maintaining a high degree of service integrity and security in the examination process.”
