Samsung Electronics Ireland promotes Íde O’Brien to Head of Marketing

Samsung Ireland has announced the promotion of Íde O’Brien to Head of Marketing, Ireland with immediate effect. This promotion is preceded by her eight-year progression throughout the South Korean multinational technology company.

Íde joined Samsung Ireland in 2013 from Microsoft and since then has been responsible for supporting the growth the IM (IT and Mobile) Division of Samsung in the Irish market where it continues to dominate the smartphone market in Ireland. Prior to joining the company, she held the position of Marketing Executive at Microsoft Ireland where she managed many national campaigns and products launches.

Sharon Hegarty, Head of Marketing, Samsung Electronics UK and Ireland said: “I am delighted to announce Íde as our new Head of Marketing for Ireland who will continue to drive the growth of the business in the market. She has achieved a huge amount of success already since she joined Samsung and has been integral to establishing Samsung’s strong brand in Ireland.
