Putting the Spark into Social
2nd March 2021

Social Entrepreneurs Ireland (SEI) will host a Spark Session aimed at potential applicants to its Ideas Academy and its Impact Programme on Thursday, 11th March 2021 at 1pm via the Hopin platform.
SEI is calling on people from around the country who have an innovative idea to solve a particular social problem to “see the challenge, be the change,” by applying for a place on one of these programmes. The Ideas Academy is aimed at those with an early-stage idea to solve a social problem, and the Impact Programme, is aimed at high-potential social entrepreneurs looking to grow their impact.
The purpose of the Spark Session is to demystify what it is to be a social entrepreneur, inspire budding social entrepreneurs to take action and give an overview of how to apply to SEI for support.
Commenting, SEI Interim Director of Impact, Siobhán O’Keeffe said: “Sometimes the people with the most effective solutions to social issues are those who are experiencing such challenges head-on.
Change is possible, but it takes courage, and it takes support.
We’re looking for people from all backgrounds with courage, ambition, and a passion for social change who want to take the first step in their journey, or who want to take the next step by growing their impact, to apply to these programmes. Not everyone will recognise themselves as a social entrepreneur, so we are running the Spark Session to allow people who think they might be eligible to apply to explore the programmes further and to ask questions. Our team will also be giving advice to attendees on how to get started on their application.”
Attendance at the Spark Session is free, but intending attendees must register here>>
The closing date for applications to the Ideas Academy and the Impact Programme is midnight on Wednesday, 7th April 2021.
