Guaranteed Irish is delighted to announce that the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland (DCCI) has joined as a member for 2021. This benefits all members of DCCI who wish to apply to join Guaranteed Irish as they can avail of a special discount once they meet the criteria and are deemed suitable by the Guaranteed Irish appraisals team. The offer is valid until Feb 28th, 2021. All approved members will then feature on the website which will continue to be promoted by the Guaranteed Irish team across media and press throughout 2021.

Based on the unanticipated success of the portal,, and the support it has secured since it was launched in September 2020, it was decided by the voluntary board of Directors, that the site will now operate all year around to support the smaller homegrown gift, craft and designer members in Ireland who continue to make and inspire from behind locked doors. The site which was promoted across all digital channels, the Late Late show, national radio and TV in the run up to Christmas generated over 10,000 extra visitors daily to those featured on it. A call from Guaranteed Irish to extend its offering to include fashion, home style products and new lines goes out this month, so it becomes the site of choice for all those who consciously wish to support Irish producers and designers. All sales go direct to the provider- no commission is taken by Guaranteed Irish, the not-for-profit business membership organisation.

According to Brid O’Connell, CEO, Guaranteed Irish: “To date we are delighted with the support from consumers and the media who have really got behind the concept in the lead up to the Christmas holidays. However, as we all know we still have birthdays, Mother’s day, Father’s day, christenings, and Valentine’s day to buy for, so we are appealing to the public to consider buying something with the Guaranteed Irish symbol- that way you know you are supporting Irish producers/ makers. Currently featured on are crafts, beauty and skincare, homewares and interiors, textiles, jewellery, food, hampers, candles, hospitality gift vouchers and a whole lot more- there really is something for everyone. We are delighted to welcome the calibre of the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland (DCCI) as members. The desire to support local Irish and authentic remains strong and with the limit from lockdown and Brexit, people genuinely want to buy and support makers who are based in Ireland. This is one upside of Covid- the awareness of how much we can support our local economy and the pride we take in our own enterprises throughout Ireland.”

Rosemary Steen, CEO of DCCI said: ‘We are very happy to join forces with Guaranteed Irish as we continue to explore new and innovative ways to support Irish designers and makers. Both brands share core values and are trusted by the public and we are delighted to support our members and to subsidise their membership to Guaranteed Irish. We look forward to working with Guaranteed Irish and the media to maximise all opportunities for our members this year.’

Thanks to the sponsorship and support of eShopWorld, this project looks set to continue to help our home-grown gift, design, and craft producers #AllTogetherBetter.
