Louisa Meehan, President of Network Ireland 2020

Wicklow businesswoman Louisa Meehan has taken the reins as President of Network Ireland, following the group’s AGM in Dublin recently. Louisa succeeds hotelier and Cork native Helen Wycherley in her fifth year of being involved with the dynamic organisation which has 1200 members around the country.
Louisa is the owner of Woodview HRM in Wicklow, offering tailored Human Resource solutions and Workplace Mediation Services to companies in the SME sector. She is also a part time lecturer in UCD and Smurfit Graduate School of Business in the fields of HR and Organisational Behaviour and is a trainer with IBEC. Louisa has chosen the theme of ‘Power Within’ for her term in office. As the new decade begins, she believes 2020 brings an opportunity for women in Ireland to take stock of their achievements and acknowledge the inner strength that has brought them to this point, to help drive ambition for the future.
Louisa is conscious that many famous women are rightly held up as international role models, but as President of Network Ireland, she wants to draw attention to the heroines closer to home – among families, friends and neighbourhoods, who achieve great things in their lives, that may go unnoticed. She believes they’re also a vital source of the ‘Power Within’, because of the inspiration they provide for others.
Addressing Network Ireland members , Louisa said: “We have the power and strength within ourselves, individually and within Network Ireland, to achieve our goals. I’m particularly excited about embarking on this journey as a new decade begins. It’s a unique opportunity to look back and reflect on all we have achieved, to appreciate where we are at right now, and look ahead to an exciting future”.
Leitrim native Louisa has already begun work in earnest on a hectic Presidential schedule, with one of Network Ireland’s flagship events rapidly approaching.
