Marmalade – Yes Please!

Don’t you just want to grab a cup of coffee and sit and chat! Here at WMB we simply loved this image and the positive, happy energy it exudes.
Marmalade Bakery, which describes itself as a ‘neighbourhood bakery’, has opened in Galway’s city centre on Middle Street.
The bakery is owned by Michelle Crehan-Kavanagh of Galway’s much-loved café and restaurant, The Kitchen. Michelle said, “The inspiration for Marmalade came from time spent travelling in Europe. In each city and town I was in I always found myself on the hunt for that little corner bakery where you find all the locals and the best food! I wanted to bring this concept back with me to Galway and I’m delighted to officially open our doors to the public.”
Marmalade is a warm and welcoming space where locals can stop by to pick up their favourite hand-crafted loaf, still warm from the oven, and enjoy fantastic coffee with a freshly baked pastry or sourdough slice piled high with gourmet toppings.
Its sleek, scandinavian-inspired interior with a large glass window allows customers to watch the entire baking process and sets the scene for this friendly bakery. Marmalade has two daily bakes to ensure that only the freshest loaves are on the shelves throughout the day, as well as giving the people of Galway an opportunity to time their bread pick-up so they can take it home straight from the oven.
Marmalade also serves a selection of freshly-baked pastries, a convenient ‘grab-on-the-go’ takeaway breakfast and lunch offering, and freshly-roasted Red Eye coffee from the coffee bar. You can follow Marmalade on social media @marmaladegalway.
