New Partnership Programme Manager at GEC
14th November 2018
The Guinness Enterprise Centre (GEC) recently announced the appointment of Julianne O’Leary as its Partnership Programme Manager. Julianne’s primary role will be to develop the wider GEC network both nationally and internationally and to lead the GEC’s Prosper Series.
In this newly created role, Julianne will be responsible for forging new connections and partnerships between regional enterprise centres and the GEC. The purpose of which is to enrich the start-up ecosystem throughout the island of Ireland. Julianne will be responsible for creating and nurturing connections between entrepreneurs, start-ups, investors, mentors and influencers from counties across Ireland and abroad.
The Prosper Series also comes under Julianne’s remit. The initiative aims to develop a network made up of a county’s business diaspora to enhance prosperity in a county through co-operation, knowledge-sharing, and inspiration.
These initiatives will be crucial in establishing the GEC as Ireland’s Home for Entrepreneurs – providing a supportive ecosystem, private, co-working and shared workspaces, and access to the GEC’s University Programme. These facilities are all available to regional businesses from outside of Dublin, offering a home-away-from-home and eliminating the need to relocate.
Prior to joining the GEC, Julianne held the role of International Market Executive at Enterprise Ireland, where she completed a highly competitive graduate programme in Milan, helping Irish businesses to grow in the Italian market. Julianne also holds a Commerce and Italian degree from UCC.
