Cork County Council’s Local Enterprise Office, Cork North and West will host a special Women in Business Event to mark International Women’s Day at The Celtic Ross Hotel on March 8th. The “Push for Progress” event which is also coinciding with Local Enterprise Week will feature some of Ireland’s leading business women including Cocoa Brown founder Marissa Carter (pictured) and communications maven, author and columnist Terry Prone.
Aimed at female entrepreneurs, business owners and those with a business idea, the event will focus on how women can excel in business while achieving a balance and learn new techniques to deal with stressful times.
The event which will be MC’d by Deidre O’Shaughnessy, 96FM, will include a wide variety of speakers including business woman, ex Fair City actress and mentor Rachel Sarah Murphy, branding expert and entrepreneur Jennie McGinn, and yoga therapist Jess Hatchett. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network and make new connections throughout the day, which will begin at 9.30am and conclude after lunch at 3.30pm.
