Dublin BIC’s Funding & Scaling Series provides in-depth guidance on the early stage funding journey, from seed to scale up. ApisProtect is creating a buzz internationally with its use of IoT and Big Data to increase beehive productivity, a market worth over €4 billion globally.
Eager to hear how the company has gone from spinout to industry leader with remarkable speed, Dublin BIC has invited ApisProtect founder, Fiona Edwards Murphy, to join them on stage at their next Funding & Scaling event, taking place next Tuesday, 27th February at the Marker Hotel.
Fiona founded ApisProtect while at UCC doing doctoral research into the application of sensors and networking to honey bees. Following a successful application to the Enterprise Ireland Female Entrepreneur Competitive Start Fund in 2017, Fiona was offered a place on the Innovate Programme, the accelerator for female entrepreneurs run by Dublin BIC.
Within weeks of graduating from Innovate, ApisProtect secured investment and customers in the UK, South Africa and the USA. The company is currently closing an institutional seed investment round.
