Leading women from the Irish Grocery industry gathered earlier this month at the InterContinental Hotel, Ballsbridge, for the second ‘Today’s Women in Grocery’ networking luncheon. The ‘Today’s Women in Grocery’ (TWIG) group was created by the Irish Grocers Benevolent Fund (IGBF) as a platform for women in grocery to grow their connections, learn from leading inspirational women and discuss issues of concern and network with each other. The event has a key focus on raising the profile of women in the sector. All proceeds from the lunch go to support the IGBF charity.
The event, captured the theme ‘Growing Connections’, marking a positive and engaging day in the grocery sector calendar. It attracted many senior leaders and featured speakers including, Louise Ryan, Managing Director, Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard; Áine Maguire, Managing Director, Persuasion; Aoibheann O’Brien, CEO of FoodCloud Hubs and Sheila Gallagher, Commercial Director Tesco. Melanie Morris, Editor-In-Chief of Image Magazine compèred the event.
