Newstalk 106-108 FM has announced that Colette Fitzpatrick will join the station to present a brand new Sunday morning show, The Colette Fitzpatrick Show, sponsored by Marks & Spencer.

Colette’s new show will include topical discussions, expert advice and high profile interviews. The show will feature a wide range of topics including psychology, parenting, book and tv and reviews as well as women’s health and wellbeing.

She has extensive experience in journalism. She started her career in radio working for East Coast Radio, now East Coast FM before moving to Radio Ireland, now Today FM in 1998. Three years later she made the leap to the small screen to work in TV3’s newsroom, where she anchors the station’s daily news bulletins; The 12.30 and The 5.30. In addition to broadcasting, Colette has a weekly column in The Herald newspaper.

Commenting on the announcement Colette said:“I’m very excited to be joining the Newstalk line-up. I’ve been looking for a way to get back into radio for a couple of years, to a show where I can give women a platform to discuss issues that are important to us.” Speaking on Newstalk this morning, Colette re-emphasised the tone of the show, which will target female listeners by covering issues that matter to women.

The show will air on Sundays from 9am to 10am.
