Last
year, WMB held the inaugural O2 WMB Conference & Awards
to a sell out audience at Dublin’s Shelbourne Hotel.
This year, we are putting the finishing touches to our line
up and it’s one date that is an ‘absolute must’ for
your BlackBerry Pearls – now available in pink ladies!
It is generally accepted that time
is now one of our scarcest commodities. Do we work
to live or live to work – Sometimes it’s hard
to decipher. So when you take four major companies – O2,
Accenture, Irish Life and the County & City Enterprise
Boards; and add a passionate title like WMB to the mix,
you can be sure that the end result will be worth your investment.
Rosemary Delaney is publisher of WMB
and highlights that: “We live in a world that demands
the very best from us if we want to succeed – if we
want to stand out from the crowd and be recognised. Success
however, means different things to different people – we
don’t all want to be chiefs but with hard work and
vision we want to ‘believe’ that we can achieve
what we desire. This event gives attendees the inspiration
and motivation, which is sometimes needed to reach our goals. It
also gives our readers, their mentors and peers, the opportunity
to nominate or self-nominate for one of a number of important
awards."
The
Mentoring Programme from Accenture
Linked into Accenture WMBig Idea Award is a mentoring
programme, which the winner of this Award will receive.
Accenture is the largest management consulting, technology
services and outsourcing company in Ireland. They
collaborate with clients to help them become high-performance
organisations. In the same way, through the mentoring
programme Accenture will use their skills to help
turn a big idea into something tangible. Accenture’s
Gavin Maxwell will provide four, two-hour mentoring
sessions to advance your concept.
The package includes expert advice
from Accenture personnel during these workshops, which
will cover such areas as:
Personal
Leadership (to create understanding of personality
traits, strengths, weaknesses; areas for growth and
areas for exploitation);
Organisational (to
consider the business, to help decide what people and
behaviours are needed to turn your idea into a business);
Commercial (to consider
how to market and sell and to create cash flows to sustain
the viability of your company);
Operational (to
understand how to implement and operationalise the
business — the practical implementation).
In addition, Accenture will host a
one-day session to help with your plan — to shape
the business based on your idea.
And it doesn’t stop there! Accenture
is delighted to commit to two further one hour meetings
for the Award winner with a Senior Executive from their
organisation with a view to discussing progress and strategy.
We’re delighted that Accenture
has recognised the natural link with 02 Women Mean Business
Conference & Awards 2008. This package is of considerable
worth to a new business and offers an opportunity for
you to realise your dream. At WMB we have decided to
track your progress through a series of diary notes in
our magazine over the period of the consultation. |
