The theme for our fifth annual Conference & Awards is: Success is what you make it! For many of us success may be reflected through monetary gain; for others it may represent change leadership.
Anita Roddick viewed success in the latter context: “I have always found that my view of success has been iconoclastic: success to me is not about money or status or fame, it’s about finding a livelihood that brings me joy and self-sufficiency and a sense of contributing to the world.” Her vision brought about change and choice for the consumer with a conscience and through this, Roddick gained status, fame and fortune along her journey but above all, the greater sense of change leadership in the lives around her.
For many of us success is effectively combining our personal lives with a fulfilling working life. Yes, there are stages of stress and sheer panic but these are balanced against periods of great promise and productivity. Whatever you do, and where ever success might bring you, happiness will not be far behind.
