speaker on the day offers his or her unique wisdom and experience.
Karren
Brady is Managing Director of
Birmingham City Football Club. Known as ‘The First Woman in Football’ she
was the youngest Managing Director of a PLC in the UK. In
2006 she won the Cosmopolitan Woman of the Year, in the category
of Women Who Have Changed the World. Last year she was voted
Business Woman of the Year.
Also, in the line up is adventurer,
explorer and motivational speaker Pat
Falvey. Pat is the
only person in the world to have completed the Seven Summits
challenge twice, including climbing Mount Everest from both
Nepal and Tibet. He also trained and lead the first Irish
team to complete the 1140km trek to the South Pole, in honour
of Ernest Shackleton and Ireland’s unsung polar hero’s,
across the coldest, loneliest, most barren, desolate and
dangerous landscape on earth to reach the South Pole on the
8th January 2008.
Caroline
Casey needs little introduction – she
is the Founding CEO of the Aisling Foundation and O2 Ability
Awards as well as founding trustee of the Elephant Family.
Caroline has built a reputation locally in Ireland and internationally
as an entrepreneur, motivational speaker, adventurer and
radio and TV presenter.
Finally, Hilary
O’Meara will
introduce a research element to the day’s activities.
Hilary is a Senior Executive with Accenture and leads the
Accent on Women Programme in Ireland.
