Helen leads Athena Media a digital media production company, based in The Digital Hub, which she founded seven years ago. She is an international consultant on broadcasting and the media sector and previously worked as MD of Radio, RTE. She is former news editor with the BBC.

Helen is an award-winning producer of radio, television and online content and her recent productions including a TV documentary series on adventurer Pat Falvey, which airs on Setanta later this year. Falvey was the keynote speaker at the WMB Conference in 2008.

Helen has just completed the first economic landscape analysis of the broadcasting sector in Ireland for the regulator, the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland and she has published widely on digital media, broadcasting and news. She has facilitated the WMB Conference & Awards since they started in 2007 and is founder member of the International Womens Forum Ireland (IWF Ireland). Athena Media runs Podcasting Ireland and creates online content for a range of clients.
