Mary Rose is the Divisional Pharmacy Manager for Boots Ireland and leads both the Pharmacy, Healthcare and CSR elements of the business in Ireland. Under Mary Rose’s guidance her team have demonstrated how the potential of community pharmacy can be developed to deliver better healthcare. Key recent successes have been the launch of Emergency Hormonal Contraception, and the Winter Flu Vaccination Service in Boots – both innovations in community pharmacy. Her aim is to create an environment within which pharmacy practice in Ireland can deliver on its potential to enhance healthcare in the community, and to establish Boots as a market leader.

Judith is Global Product Data Director at Dell Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) based in Dell’s Limerick facility. As a member of the Dell Strategy team, Judith is active in leading programmes that support the development of the campus and ensuring that Dell Ireland continues to be a key strategic development location for the company globally. Judith joined Dell 12 years ago. She has supported the personal development of over 350 managers and has contributed to over $78 million savings in business process improvements, when she had responsibility for the Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Business Operations functions.

Newstalk WMB Social Entrepreneur Of The Year Award Winner 2011: Joan Freeman, Pieta House

Joan started Pieta House in 2006; it provides one-to-one counselling to men, women and children who are in acute distress; targetting those who have attempted suicide and survived, those who have a strong desire to take their life and those who self-harm. The service is free of charge and people are seen twice a week, or every day depending on need. They are the only organisation to offer an ‘out of hours’ service. In five years Pieta House has seen over 4,000 people. Under Joan’s guidance, five centres (4 in Dublin and 1 in Limerick) have opened and employ 60 people. They raise over 80% of their income through fundraising and donations.

Colette has most recently been a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards for 2010 and is the Veuve Clicquot Businesswoman of the Year 2011.

WMB Big Idea Award Winner 2011: Lisa Domican, Grace App Communication

Lisa wanted to enable people with a communication difficulty, to be able to express themselves independently, through the provision of education and innovative communication technologies. She developed a simple picture communication App in collaboration with a successful Games Developer that allows non verbal people with Autism and other disabilities to communicate effectively, by building semantic sequences from relevant images to form sentences. Her company, Grace App Communication sets out to demonstrate that independent communication support can be affordable, accessible and adaptable.
