Datapac, a leading Irish technology solutions and services provider, recently announced it will create 35 new jobs at its location in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford. The jobs are being created as part of a €2.1m investment which is funding significant expansion and enhancement of ICT managed services at Datapac’s Network Operations Centre.

Established in 1982, Datapac provides a comprehensive range of technology solutions and services to customers throughout Ireland.  The company’s presence nationwide includes purpose built, state of the art facilities in Wexford and Dublin along with service centre locations around the country. Datapac will begin recruiting immediately and expects the 35 new hires to be in place by the end of 2018. The job openings will primarily be in technical and business development roles to support Datapac’s expanded managed service offerings.

The investment is funding the continual development and expansion of Datapac’s Network Operation Centre (NOC). This includes new best-in-class remote monitoring and management platforms, as well as new automated technologies and enhanced training programmes for a growing team of more than 60 technical engineers.  Datapac has invested several hundred engineer days to design, configure and implement the upgraded service infrastructure, which will provide completely tailored solutions for its customer base, ranging from SMEs to large enterprise and public sector organisations.

Karen O’Connor, General Manager Service Delivery, Datapac, said, “In our 35th year of business, we’ve never been more excited by the opportunities that lie ahead. We’re delighted to announce this growth in employee numbers and the new investment in our business. This investment enables Datapac to continue to enhance our service offering to existing customers and to respond to the increased demand for our managed service solutions. Datapac has a scalable managed service platform in place which will help us to achieve further business growth.”
