Irish law firm Matheson has recently announced the opening of it’s second office in San Francisco. With over 650 staff headquartered in Dublin, this expansion represents the firm’s third US office – and its fifth office globally.  The new office will be led by Matheson West Coast Head Partner Mark O’Sullivan, together with technology and privacy law partner Chris Bollard, who joins the firm on August 1st.

In parallel with the firm’s international expansion, Matheson has made several new senior appointments. Anne-Marie Bohan has been appointed head of Matheson’s Technology and Innovation Group.  Anne-Marie is an experienced lawyer with particular expertise in advising on technology and privacy legal matters across a broad range of industries and brings an understanding of applicable regulatory rules and regulatory requirements. On August 1st, Deirdre Kilroy will join Matheson as partner, also in the firm’s Technology & Innovation Group. Deirdre comes to Matheson from another Irish law firm where she was Head of Intellectual Property and Technology.  Deirdre is a leading IP, technology and data privacy partner and a recognised GDPR expert.
