Irish Times InterTradeIreland Innovation Award Winners

The Irish Times InterTradeIreland Innovation Awards were held on Friday 17th in Belfast City Hall where the overall winner on the night was PanelDuct, who also won the Manufacturing category.

The other category winners were WholeWorldBand in the Creative Industry category; Embo Medical in the Bioscience category; Ocean Harvest won in the Agrifoods category; Nautilus NI in the IT & Telecoms category; REDT in the Energy & The Environment category; and the award for North/South collaboration was awarded to BFree Foods. They developed an allergen-free fajita kit, manufactured in conjunction with Evron Foods.

The awards celebrate entrepreneurship across the island of Ireland and the 18 shortlisted companies were whittled down from over 100 applicants. Each category winner receives a €10,000 communications package in The Irish Times Business and Innovation supplement and an iPad with an annual subscription to The Irish Times Digital Pack.  The winners of the overall ‘Innovation of the Year’ title receives a communications package, worth in excess of €150,000, comprising of advertising promotion across The Irish Times Business and Innovation supplement.

UCD Smurfit School will provide the overall winner with a scholarship for an Executive Education programme commencing in 2015 and the winner will also receive a Mac Book.
